The membership requirements for the American Legion Riders are very straightforward.  To become a member, you must...

...be a current member in good standing of the American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion.
...be the owner of a motorcycle of at least 350cc engine displacement and must possess a valid driver's license in your state of residence (military equivalents acceptable as well) -or- must be the legal spouse of an ALR member in good standing within the Chapter of application.

St Johns Riders at Shepardsville

The American Legion Riders Post 153, took part in the Shepardsville Parade in honor of the Fourth of July. The Riders returned with a Second Place trophy. Members attending were: Thomas Helms, Director: John Gillespie, Assistant Director: Joe Ruthie, Treasurer: Ervin Curry, Secretary / Chaplin: Bill Lickman, Sgt.-at-Arms; Jerry and Debra Ripley, Colors Bearer.

The American Legion Riders Post 153, had the honor of being invited to ride in the Chesaning Showboat parade. Riders were the guests of Chesaning American Legion Post 212 before and after the parade. Members attending were: Thomas Helms, John Gillespie, Joe Ruthie, Ervin Curry and Jerry and Debra Ripley.
